Why We Created BAAHSC

In the diverse community of the Bay Area, many low-income and senior residents face housing challenges. The initial purpose of establishing the Bay Area Affordable Housing Service Center (BAAHSC) was to help these families and individuals in need, ensuring they find a warm home in this challenging environment.

As long-time residents of the Bay Area, we deeply understand the housing pressure here. Every day, we hear stories from friends, neighbors, and colleagues about the difficulties and frustrations they encounter while searching for affordable housing. These real stories and needs inspired us to take action and create BAAHSC, with the hope of making a tangible difference through our efforts.

We don't just provide housing information and resources; more importantly, we aim to educate the community through regular workshops and seminars on how to apply for subsidized housing and improve their chances of success. We believe that knowledge is power, and by sharing and disseminating this information, we can help more people find their ideal homes.

Throughout this journey, we have received support from many friends and professionals who have generously contributed their time and expertise, making us more determined in our steps forward. We believe that through collective effort, BAAHSC can become a reliable community resource center, providing lasting support and assistance to low-income and senior residents in the Bay Area.
